I’ve had a decent experience with Banfield overall. They cover a good range of the basics for my dog, like vaccines, regular checkups, and dental care, which makes it convenient to keep everything in one place. That said, appointments haven’t always been super smooth, sometimes scheduling or wait times can be a bit hit or miss. Still, for routine pet care, it’s been useful and reasonably easy to stick with.

I wasn’t expecting it to be convenient after work, but they’re open late enough that I can actually stop by without feeling rushed. That alone makes a big difference for me.

"Good Follow-Up, Even If the Phone Wait Can Be Annoying"
I’ve had a good experience with Banfield overall. After my dog’s appointment, they called to check on how he was doing, which made me feel really reassured. I had a question about his medication too, and they took the time to explain it again without making me feel silly for asking. The only frustrating part is that sometimes you’re stuck waiting on the phone longer than you’d like, and that can get a little annoying. But then they do follow up and keep you in the loop, so I end up feeling grateful again. Overall, I really appreciate the communication...

"Pretty Clear About the Costs"
I liked that most of the charges were explained before the visit, so there weren’t really any surprises. The monthly plan billing was clear too. I did have to ask once about an extra fee, but after that it made sense
"Canceling Was Surprisingly Not a Whole Saga"
I had to cancel my wellness plan after moving, i was fully prepared for it to be way more annoying than it was. I did have to call and sit around for a bit, because apparently we’re still doing that, but the person I spoke with was actually helpful and got it taken care of. It definitely wasn’t instant, of course, but compared to what I expected, it was painless. So yeah, overall it was fine.

I signed my dog up for the Banfield wellness plan and, to be honest, it’s actually been helpful. Paying monthly is way easier for me than getting hit with one huge vet bill, especially when it comes to shots, checkups, and the regular stuff. At first I was like, okay, what’s the catch? Because obviously it doesn’t cover everything, and yeah, you definitely need to read what’s included. But then again, for routine care, it’s saved me money and made things less stressful. Appointments have been easy to set up too. I was kind of skeptical going in, but now I’m like… okay Banfield, I see you. No major complaints so far

I’ve been taking my dog to banfield and the care has been solid overall. The only thing that bugged me was the auto renewal. It renewed before I really realized what was happening, and I don’t remember it being made super clear that I was signing up for another year. I ended up calling to ask about it, and to be fair, the person I talked to was nice and explained everything without giving me a bunch of scripted corporate-sounding lines. I just wish the reminder was way more obvious before it renews. Still giving 4 stars because the actual vet care has been good

I mostly use banfield.com for refilling my dog’s prescriptions, it has made that whole little chore so much easier than it used to be. Instead of having to remember to call the office during business hours, sit on hold, or leave a message and hope I hear back soon, I can just log in whenever I notice we’re starting to run low and put in the request online. It’s simple, quick, and I like that I can take care of it when it’s actually on my mind, even if that happens to be later in the evening.
The updates are also easy to understand, so I’m not left wondering what’s going on or whether the refill was actually received. Pickup has usually been ready faster than I expect, which is really nice when you’re trying to stay on top of your pet’s medication schedule. It’s not some huge dramatic thing, but it definitely removes one extra errand or phone call from my list, and I appreciate that more than I probably would have expected.
"No pushy sales vibe, just helpful"
I was a little nervous they were going to try to talk me into a bunch of extra stuff, but it didn’t feel that way at all. They just explained what my dog actually needed right now and what could probably wait, if that makes sense.
The different plan options were laid out clearly, and I never felt pressured or cornered into anything. I still ended up spending money, lol, but it felt like it was my decision. Overall, it was a really good visit.

The staff was really kind and helped me quickly, which I appreciated. I wasn’t expecting anything over the top, just needed to get in and get my issue handled without wasting time, and they did exactly that. Thanks again.

The place was really clean and didn’t have that typical vet office smell. The floors and exam rooms looked well kept, and I felt comfortable bringing my dog in. Overall, it was just a good experience.

"Got my dog’s records without too much hassle"
I was able to find my dog’s shot records quickly, so that part was easy enough. The site was kind of slow though, which was annoying as hell, but it got the job done.

I’ll admit I’m a little biased because it’s right around the corner from my house, but that’s exactly why I love it. Vet trips are so much less stressful when I don’t have to drive across town.

"Decent Care, but a Little Rushed"
I’ve taken my dog to banfield a few times, and overall it’s been okay. The vets and techs are usually friendly, they do seem like they care about the animals. My biggest issue is that the appointments can feel kind of rushed, and I’ve left a couple times not fully sure I understood everything they went over. Follow-ups have been a little inconsistent too. It’s not a bad place, but I wouldn’t say it’s amazing either.

Some of the rules are still kind of annoying, which I guess is just how these places usually operate, but they did seem willing to work with me when I needed it. Overall, I had a decent experience.

After moving, I’ve taken my dog to two different Banfield locations, and the experience has been consistent overall. The staff has been friendly, my dog’s records were easy to access, and we didn’t have to wait long to be seen. Nothing really stood out as exceptional, but everything went smoothly and I appreciated the reliable care.

"Super easy and hardly any wait"
I had an appointment for my dog and thought we’d be stuck waiting forever, but everything moved really quickly. Check-in was simple, the process was easy, and the tech came out not long after we arrived. The whole visit was smoother and faster than most vet trips I’ve had. I really appreciated not losing half my day just sitting around.

"Outside pharmacy approval was super easy"
Not gonna lie, I was expecting it to be a hassle getting my dog’s meds filled through an outside pharmacy, but Banfield made it really easy. They handled the authorization quickly, answered my questions, and sent the pharmacy everything they needed. It saved me a lot of stress. Overall, really good experience.
